Zmiany w języku hiszpańskim
Pod koniec 2010 roku Real Academia Española (odpowiednik polskiej Rady Języka Polskiego odpowiedzialna za regulacje językowe) podczas posiedzenia w Meksyku wprowadziła oficjalnie zmiany w języku hiszpańskim.
Jak to zazwyczaj bywa podczas takich językowych uaktualnień zmiany są raczej kosmetyczne i nie znacząco nie wpłyną na uczących się hiszpańskiego.
Pierwszą zmianą jest usunięcie z alfabetu liter „ll” i „ch”.
Jednak w dalszym ciągu w wyrazach występują te znaki. Wyrazy z tymi literami czyta się tak samo jak wcześniej różnica pojawia się dopiero podczas literowania wyrazów. Literując wyraz z „ll” powinniśmy przeczytać dwa razy literę „l”. Analogicznie sytuacja wygląda w przypadku „ch”, podczas literowania obecnie są to dwie osobne litery „c” i „h”.
Drugą zmianą dotycząca alfabetu jest nazewnictwo litery „y” stara nazwa [i griega] została zastąpiona nową [ye]
Tak więc obecnie obowiązujący alfabet hiszpański składa się z 27 liter i wygląda następująco:

n [ene]
ñ [eñe]

z [zeta]
Zmiany spotkały również literę „Q”. Obecnie dźwięk „k” zapisujemy jako „Q” tylko gdy występuje w zlepku „qu” np. „querer” (chcieć, lubić). Pisownia pozostałych wyrazów została zmieniona np.:
Iraq po hiszpańsku piszę się teraz Irak
Qatar obecnie to Catar
Poprawki nie ominęły również akcentów.
Akcent nad „o” został usunięty w wyrazie sólo (tylko) i obecnie poprawna pisownia to solo.
Akcentu nie stosuję się już w ogóle nad „o” (lub). Wcześniej stosowało się go w przypadku gdy „o” rozdzielało dwie liczby np. 3 ó 1 aby nie mylić go z zerem.
Członkowie Real Academia Española uznali również, że należy usunąć akcenty z wyrazów jednosylabowych takich jak np. guión.
Zmiany dotyczą również przedrostków ex, anti oraz pro.
Przedrostki te były do tej pory pisane oddzielnie (ex marido) bądź z myślnikiem (ex-marido). Obecnie poprawnym jest pisanie ich łącznie (exmarido)
